AD – Active Directory

Active Directory Simplistically, from an Identity Management point of view, a list of users and groups. More completely, a Directory Service from Microsoft that is included in Windows Server Operating Systems as a set of processes and services. AD includes centralized domain management and a range of directory based identity-related services. In most implementations of MIM, AD is one of the CDS into which Identity Data is written.
