Single Sign-On A technique where a person is required to only Authenticate once even when accessing different resources – e.g. after logging onto Active Directory, they are not challenged for credentials when accessing an HR system. However, it is – confusingly – also sometimes used for Same Sign-On (same credentials used in two places, but you have to enter them again).
