03. Does IPification require a load-balancing node to handle this?

No. GMiD™Box has Load Balancing and Failover implemented inside itself. You just need to provide several VIP addresses. Our recommendation is to go with 4 NIC per server. 1 NIC per each protocol – RADIUS, SYSLOG, API/HTTP – plus 1 NIC for Redis Cluster Replication. For such configuration, it requires 3 VIP addresses, each for specific protocol – RADIUS, SYSLOG, API/HTTP. So, based on VIP, GMiD™Box can achieve High Availability.
